Jeffery Alan Taylor, 56, passed away on July 22, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, on April 26, 1963, to Norma G. Taylor and the late Ival Ray Taylor.
He graduated from high school and earned an ITT degree in robotics. In 1980, he joined the US Army and became an Army Ranger. Jeffery was very proud of his military service. After being discharged, he became a master carpet layer.
Jeffery enjoyed shooting pool, watching his favorite T.V. show M.A.S.H., spending as much time as he could with his beloved grandkids, working in the yard, and working on cars. Even though Jeffery lived in Jacksonville for many years, he was still a tried and true Cincinnati Bangles fan and enjoyed watching all their games.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Taylor; father, Ival Ray Taylor, nephew, Steven Dagobert, grandfather, Francis Gilbert Dole and grandmother, Loretta May Smithers.
Jeffery is survived by his loving daughters, Christina Taylor and Alisha Cokely; beloved grandkids, Ja’Lenya Asia Taylor, Jackson Cokely, Kloe Paige Roberson and Zayden Lee Taylor; devoted mother, Norma G. Taylor; brothers, Keith Randall Taylor and Donald Ray Taylor; sister, Kimberly Taylor; niece, Amber Orr; nephew, Ryan Taylor and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was a loving father and son and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073.
