Jere Arthur Alm, PA, 58, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020, in Orange Park, FL. He was born on April 7, 1962 in Christine, ND.
Jere received a Bachelor’s Degree at North Dakota State University, served as an EMT for 17 years in Norman County, ND and a EMS Coordinator in AZ and MN. Jere earned a Master’s Degree and was Vice President of his graduating class at the University of Washington Medical School. He served 23 years as a Physicians Assistant in TX, CA, ND, WA and FL. He also was NCCPA certified and instructor.
Jere wrote and implemented trauma protocol for the state of ND, managed Norman City, MN Ambulance Services, served on the board of directors for ND and MN Ambulance, taught the medical staff Advance Trauma/Cardiac Life Support Trauma, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Advanced Dive Rescue. Jere was a master diver, sailing captain and enjoyed traveling and cooking.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles John Alm and Gertrude “Marie” Arntson Alm; grandfathers, Peter Arntson and Frank Alm; grandmothers, Gertrude Samulson Arntson and Ruth Nelson Alm.
Jere is survived by his wife, Cindy Anna Emery; step-son, Steven Bradley Bozeman; his beloved chocolate lab, Jasmine Grace; cats, Rowdy and Scout; brother-in-law, Rick Emery (Paula); mother-in-law, Betty Emery; sister, Heidi M. Jensen; nephew, Reed Charles Alm; step-nephew, Chris Emery; niece, Lindsey M. Jensen; great-niece, Maci Alm; special friends, Kevin Penney, Mark Boyd, PA, Dr. Bill Noel (Donna) and Rose Rooney, PA; many cousins, extended family and many dedicated colleagues.

The family would like to thank Orange Park Medical Center and staff for their enduring and everlasting efforts on Jere’s behalf. As well as a special thank you to cousins Steve and Sandy Emery for all their support and kindness.
