John Carl Mooradian Jr., 67, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on June 14, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side, the person who had shared nearly every chapter of his life for almost 43 years. Born on January 1, 1959, in Niagara Falls, New York, John began his life on the very first day of a new year — a fitting start for someone who brought renewal, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, John served his country with honor, including brave service during Operation Desert Storm, where he fulfilled his duties with quiet courage. His military career took him to Texas, Korea, Germany, and Maryland, and the values he lived by in uniform became the same ones he carried into every part of his life.

John was devoted to his wife, Maria Wied‑Mooradian. Their marriage was a partnership built on love, resilience, and unwavering commitment — a bond that shaped the heart of their family and stood as one of the greatest joys of his life.

John is survived by Maria; his sons John Carl Mooradian III and Daniel Nicolas Mooradian; his daughters‑in‑law Angela and Christine; his treasured grandchildren Cayli and Orion; and his brother Allen Mooradian. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family — many nieces and nephews, great‑nieces and great‑nephews, cousins, in‑laws, and dear friends — all of whom were touched by his generosity, his humor, and the steady kindness he carried through life.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Nicolas Alexei Mooradian, and his sisters Carol Phillips and Margrett Hunt, with whom he is now reunited.

John had a gift for finding joy in the world. He loved the beach — the warmth of the sun on his shoulders, the ocean breeze brushing past like an old friend, and the quiet magic of nature walks, where he could take in the world at his own gentle pace. These were the places where he felt most at peace, where laughter came easily and life felt beautifully simple.

Halloween was his season, and Halloween Horror Nights was his happy place. He laughed easily, loved deeply, and never missed a chance to make someone smile. His grandchildren adored him, and he adored them right back, with a tenderness that defined him as much as his strength did.

He was the kind of man who showed up — for his family, for his friends, for anyone who needed him. Loyal, steady, and full of heart, John leaves behind a legacy of love that will echo through generations.

Though his absence is immeasurable, so too is the love he gave. His family will carry his stories, his laughter, and his spirit forward, honoring him in the way he lived: with devotion, humor, and an open heart.
