Karen Maxine Whitfield

Karen Whitfield, 68, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2020. She was born on November 3, 1951 in Detroit, MI, to the late Lovell and Berdie Mae Williams.

Karen graduated from Makenzie High School and Michigan State University. She furthered her education attending Wayne State University. She was a social worker for many years and retired as an Independent Contractor Support Coordinator for the State of Florida. Karen was an active member of Spirit and Life Family Bible Church and Godhead Prayer Ministry, under the leadership of Apostle Deb’rah Gordon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin J. Whitfield; and her brother, Ronald Williams.

Karen is survived by her children, Kimaada and Husani Williams; siblings, Beverlyn Brown, Sharon Bell, Valarie Wims, Belinda Branch, Lovell Clifton Williams and Reginald Williams; and a host of other family and friends.
