Keith Lamont Jones

Keith Lamont Jones, 53, of Jacksonville, FL, departed this life on February 20, 2023. He was born in Greensboro, NC, on February 5, 1970.

Keith graduated from Southern Guilford High School in 1988 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Math from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993 and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Keller Graduate School of Management.   
Keith was employed with Dentsply Sirona as a Supply Quality Manager. Since 1999, he was an active member of Hopewell Church, where he served as a tutor and on the Parking Lot Ministry. In the early 2000s, he was affectionately known as “Coach Jones” as he volunteered as a football coach and director in the St. Johns River Conference. He was a Life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and charter member of Psi Mu Nu Chapter, where he served as Keeper of Records and Seal, Fatherhood and Mentorship Chairman, providing mentorship in the Bridge to Success Academy for young men at Westside High School, and Social Action Chairman. Keith was recognized twice as Omega Man of the Year, most recently in 2022, and received the Superior Service Award.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Tabb, and his mother, Ellen Jones.

Keith leaves to cherish his memory his son, Kyle Jones; his sisters, Felicia Jones of High Point, NC, Rhonda Arrington of Newport News, VA, and Shonda Tabb of Newport News, VA; brothers, Lorenzo Jones of High Point, NC, Darrell Tabb of Raleigh, NC, and Michael Tabb (Bridgette) of Holly Springs, NC; his godchildren Alexander Anderson, Raigan Kearson, Ellis Smith, Justin Squire, Chanel Manning (Clinton) and her son Cole; his special cousin, Dawn Troxler; special friend, Radhika Ramkarran; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keith also leaves Jamie and Jocelyn Spates, his bruzhs, his Hopewell family, and many family and friends who will help Kyle navigate the next phases of his life.
