Kenneth Moore was born on October 27, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida to Pomp Moore and Ida Mae Burris. Kenneth attended school in Duval County, graduating from Matthew L. Gilbert in 1964 where he was voted most athletic. Upon graduation, he attended Edwards College of Jacksonville where he studied to be an athletic teacher. He later met and married his loving and devoted wife Sharon Ann Brown in 1966. They were united in Holy Matrimony for over 40 years until Sharon went to go be with the Lord in 2017.
Kenneth Moore had several jobs throughout his life, most of which were in the construction and demolition profession. In 1987, he took a big leap of faith and started Kenneth Moore Scrap Metal where he gainfully employed others for over 20 years.
Kenneth’s love of family was important to him. He loved to cook and host family events, cooking ribs and smiling as others were enjoying his homemade barbecue sauce. A few of his other favorite activities included watching football, fishing and gardening.
Although, nothing was more important than his love of Jesus Christ in which he began his Christian walk in his early thirties by being baptized and receiving the holy ghost. He served the Lord in Spirit and in Truth until his transition on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Pomp Moore and Ida Mae Williams.
