Larry Harvey Wade, 80, passed away July, 30, 2022 in Orange Park, FL. He was born November 1, 1941 in Atlanta, GA to the late Steve A. Wade and Edna Winona Wade.
Larry was a veteran in the United States Army, serving with Company B 2nd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment from June 9, 1960 to June 1, 1963. He was awarded the US Army Parachute Badge, Marksman (M-14) Badge, Expert (M6 Bayonet) Badge and achieved the rank of SP4-E4.
Larry worked as an autobody mechanic and automotive transporter. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, bowling, collecting coins and military memorabilia, target shooting and archery. Larry attended First Baptist Church of Orange Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard Wade and Jerry Wade.
Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Wade; daughters, Krista (Gary) Hatch and Andrea (Tommy) Alexander; grandsons, Jonathan Hatch, Alexander (Megan) Hatch and Andrew Shore; great-grandchildren, Laila Nadeau, Karlee Walker and Benton Weeks; nephews, Rick Wade, Jerry “Jay” Wade, Johnny Wade, Michael Wade, Michael Smallwood and Jason Agan; nieces, Melissa Lee, Aimee Wade, Lori Eldridge, Sherry Wade and Stephanie Jennings and many friends.
