Laura Zada Michel

Laura Zada Michel passed away on June 8, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1945 in Mayo, FL, to Frederick Young Gamble and Zinnie Gamble. 

A loving mother and homemaker, Laura was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was dedicated to her family, never met a stranger and loved unconditionally. She always put the needs of others above her own and never let anyone struggle over something if she could step in and help. A military wife, she was dedicated to helping veterans in need whenever she could. Her favorite pastime was reading - she read every day - and she loved to watch Game Show Network. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Frank Michel, Sr., and son, Robert Frank Michel, Jr.  

She is survived by her daughter, Teechee (Gary) Buhnerkemper, and son, Paul (Melissa) Michel; grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Dorsey, Kaley (Jon) Lindenmoyer, Rebecca Michel (Halee), Goldie (Devon) Fowler, Brock Buhnerkemper, Jill Giles and Lindsey Taylor; great grandchildren, Liam Dorsey, Owen Dorsey, Tobias Lindenmoyer, Ryleigh Miller and Raegan Miller; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Cage and Merry (Bob) Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who became family. If you were in the circle, you were family. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida, 32073.  (904) 264-1233.
