Lonnie Wayne Pinkston, 69, passed away on February 8, 2021. He was born on May 10, 1951 in Tampa, FL, to Edward Roy and Jenny Louise Pinkston.
Lonnie graduated from high school and held a CDL license. He was employed for CSX railroad for 46 years as an engineer and security manager. He was a member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church.
Family time was important to Lonnie and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and drinking coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Roy Pinkston, Jr. and nephew, Daniel Pinkston.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children, Donald Pinkston and ZoAnna Franks; grandchildren, Sam Pierce, Dakota Pierce, Serina Barnes, Donald “Donnie” Pinkston, Jr., Allite Jacobs, Britt Franks and Shyanne Vanover; great grandchildren, Travis Howard, A’Lilan Fairey, Emilia Barnes and Vallery Vanover; brother, Terry Pinkston; sister, Janice Jones; nieces, Charlotte Jones and Alicia Pinkston; nephew, TJ Pinkston and many friends.
