Louise Onfroy Obituary

Louise (Grier) Onfroy was 101 years old. She was born in Terrel County, Georgia on May 7th, 1919 to Flint Grier and Mamie (Gaines) Grier. She was the 5th eldest and the last surviving sibling of 9 children born to this union. She spent her formative years growing up and attending schools in the Randolph County, Georgia area.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lincoln Onfroy, her parents and all of her siblings. She leaves to mourn her memory, three children, Ed (Barbara), Atlanta, Ga., Jonnie (Sandra), Jacksonville, Fl. and Brenda, Jacksonville, Fl., 1 brother- in- law and 2 sisters- in- law (Gregg and Ruby Freeman and Mavis Carey, Atlanta, Ga.), a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as so many loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was the light of our lives.
She had such a beautiful spirit to behold and for all of us to cherish. She was pleasant, alert and coherent to the end. She retained her great sense of humor and always loved to share a good joke and a laugh. She was quick witted and a deep thinker. Not much eluded her. You could readily see that her strength was in her will and determination. She never complained nor was she ever angry or unhappy. She met each new day with a purpose and a smile.
This is her legacy.
