Madelyn (Floyd) Christofoli

Madelyn Floyd Christofoli, 78, passed away on June 19, 2026, in Orange Park, FL. She was born on April 14, 1948, in Jacksonville, FL to the late John Roy Floyd and Viola Wall Floyd.

Madelyn was a 1966 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in June 1970. She taught at Venetia Elementary School in Jacksonville, FL.

Madelyn taught piano while still in high school and continued teaching for many years in her home. She played leading roles in multiple plays while attending college. Madelyn was a warrior for disabled rights and a member of Orange Park Methodist Church.

Madelyn met and married Donald Louis Christofoli on November 9, 1968, and they had two children, Julie and Justin. She loved cats, was a classical music enthusiast, playing and teaching piano, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Family members preceding Madelyn in death are her parents, husband, Donald Louis Christofoli and brother, Jerry Floyd.

Madelyn is survived by her loving children, Julie Anna Tatum (Chip) and Justin Floyd Christofoli (Erin); grandchildren, Autumn Grace Pelfrey, Chloe Brooke Pelfrey, Colin Christofoli and Kaitlin Christofoli; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family of Madelyn Floyd Christofoli would like to thank Orange Park Methodist Church and members for the outpouring of love and support. Your kindness has been a source of comfort and solace. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers during our time of loss.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. and a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 a.m. both at Orange Park Methodist Church, 2051 Park Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073.

A Graveside Service will be held, immediately after the service, at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 North Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206.
