Margaret Fritz Hancock passed away on June 2, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on February 14, 1943 in Knoxville, TN, to the late Frederick Cecil Fritz and Catherine McClain.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, reading, singing and playing with her grandbabies. She was a member of Centerpoint Baptist Church Middleburg.
We will forever have loving memories of our mother and Mamaw, who dedicated her life to serving others and spreading the word of God. She was a pillar of strength and love within her large family, touching countless lives with her kindness and wisdom. Her legacy of selflessness and faith will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed, but her sweet spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Lynch.
She is survived by her loving husband, Les Hancock; children, Catherine Schmidt, Jennifer Sands, Wendi and Todd Fultz, Louis and Rebel Hancock, Lynn Patterson, Laura and David Thomas and Daniel and Cindy Hancock; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Frederick Fritz; sister, Virginia Patrick; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Centerpoint Baptist Church, 1650 Blanding Boulevard, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
