Marin Screciu

On February 22, 2021, Marin Screciu, 70, ascended to his heavenly home, barely a week after celebrating his birthday. He was born on February 16, 1951 in Romania to Dumitru and Marina, who preceded him in death.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all and lived his whole life in service to his family and friends. He enjoyed simple pleasures in life, such as home cooking and gatherings with friends and family. Always hardworking and humble, he never hesitated to help anyone who asked and frequently volunteered his mechanic expertise and skills.

Marin is survived by his wife, Irma; his daughters, Diana (Charles) and Bianca (Larry); his cherished granddaughters, Katie and Bella; his brother, Ilie; and sister, Florica; and beloved nephews and nieces. He treasured his Romanian heritage and will be missed by the Romanian community for his easy smile and outgoing personality. His family and friends will forever remember his big heart, and his adored granddaughters will now have a very special guardian angel.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073. On Saturday, February 27, 2021, family and friends will gather at 1:30 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 and a procession will leave headed to Penney Farms Cemetery for interment.
