Marvin E. Wilhite, Sr

Marvin E. Wilhite, Sr. passed away on November 23, 2019 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on October 12, 1928 in Cushing, OK to the late Elmer and Iva May Wilhite.

Mr. Wilhite lived in Cushing, OK from 1928 to 1944 then moved to Arkansas City, KS until 1949. He married Edith J. Wilhite in February 1959 and had three children, Marvin, Jr., Michael, and Aimee. He lived in Orange Park, FL from 1954 until his time of passing.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot from 1951-1956 stationed in San Diego, CA, Yokosuka, Japan, Pensacola, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Argentina, Newfoundland, Canada, Port Lyautey, Morocco, North Africa and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He was also a Commercial Pilot multi-engine instrument qualified from 1951-1956. Mr. Wilhite had a Real Estate business from 1956 until his time of passing.

Mr. Wilhite attend elementary and junior high school in Cushing, OK, high school in Arkansas City, KS, Cowley Country Jr. College (Arkansas City Jr. College), University of Kansas, Business School in Lawrence, KS.

He was involved and held memberships with many organizations, Orange Park Lounge #267.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Highpoint Community Church, 84 Knight Boxx Road, Orange Park, FL 32065.
