Mary Ann Copeland Rogers was born August 29,1949 to Mamie Freeman Copeland and Joseph Benjamin Copeland, Sr. in Pine Mountain, GA. She was the 7th of 11 children and the oldest daughter. She was educated by the Harris County School system and joined Bethany Baptist Church at an early age.

After moving from Pine Mountain, Mary met the love of her life, Charles Ervin Rogers, Sr. and they married on July 10, 1976. With Charles she was able to travel and see many places in the world. Mary worked in a plethora of arenas, all of which focused on her ability to lovingly care for others.

Charles and Mary made Jacksonville, FL their home. She joined West Jacksonville Church of God in Christ and was a faithful member for 36 years. Mary gave her life to Christ on March 25, 1986. She was a true Soldier for Christ and a strong Prayer Warrior.

God called Mary home to be with Him on May 10, 2020 after a long hard battle and strong fight. She now joins both of her parents; brothers, Joseph, Jr., Freeman, Johnny and Willie Robert; sister, Brenda and brother-in-law, Carlton Rogers.

Mary leaves to lovingly cherish her memory, her beloved husband of forty four years, Charles, Sr.; her children, Darnell Copeland of Dalton, GA, Kelly Monique Rogers, Charles Ervine Rogers, II, both of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Aaliyah Monique Copeland and Kristina Monique Pernell; brothers, Jesse Copeland (Diane), Charles Copeland (Shirley), James Copeland (Teresa) and Maynard Copeland (Charity); sister, Jean Jackson (William); sisters-in-law, Eula Copeland, Frankie Mae Copeland, Cynthia Gist Rogers (Sterling), Patricia Rogers, Joce Rogers Smith (John), Patricia Ford; brothers-in-law, Joe Rogers (Mary W.), Alton Rogers (Mary G.) and Wayne Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and her church family.
