Mary Beth Crosby passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 83, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on December 29, 1941 in Lanett, Alabama, to the late James Horace Webb and Jannie Lucile Webb.
Mary received her high school diploma and enjoyed working in fashion design and modeling in Jacksonville and Atlanta, GA. She was known for her stunning beauty, infectious smile and her many accomplishments in life. Mary had many friends but thoroughly enjoyed time with her friend, Anne Renfroe. Mary adored her five children and was always involved in their activities throughout their childhood. She was even a team mother for her son’s baseball teams. Mary was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was President of the Mary Martha Society. Later in life, Mary converted to Catholicism. Mary enjoyed singing in the choir and being in the women’s bowling league.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James Horace Webb and Jannie Lucile Webb; sister, Onzelle Webb Hollis; brother, Horace LaValle Webb; both fraternal and paternal grandparents; and her two sons, Matthew Charles Sulkala and Andrew Osmo Sulkala.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Jonathan Bruce Sulkala, Scott Webb Sulkala, and Nancy Ann Sulkala; 4 beautiful grandchildren; 4 beautiful great-grandchildren; brother, Ted Lamar Webb; sisters, Ludine Webb Nelson and Linda Webb Stokes and a host of other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
