Melvin McElroy Obituary

Melvin Alan McElroy passed away on May 4, 2022 in Middleburg, FL. He was born on May 14, 1941, in Greenburg, PA, to the late Louis Franklin McElroy and Ruth Elizabeth Gross.

 Melvin graduated from high school and attended college. He retired as Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Marine Corp Rifle Team. Melvin attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Middleburg and enjoyed bowling and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Margaret Sarah McElroy; children, Alan Robert McElroy and Pamela Lynette Dickey; grandchildren, Lynette Nichole Burger, Michael Alan Burger, Alan Hunter McElroy, Megan Ariel Shearer and Alexis Kayleigh McElroy; great-grandchildren, Cera McDermott-McElroy; Dylan McElroy, Harley Griffor, Paisley Griffor, Kylee Burger, Jasmine Burger, Lacee Burger, Michaela Burger, Alan Ryan McElroy, Sylvie Willow Dawn McElroy and Lilith Yates; sisters, Beverly Lee Penzera and Michele Moore and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. both at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Boulevard, Middleburg, FL 32068.
