Michael R. Kushner passed away on September 14, 2023. He was born on September 27, 1962 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to the late George Kushner, Sr. and Nohla Kushner.
Michael graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1982. He completed seven years of active duty and later worked for NADEP as a civilian. On April 3, 1988, he married Deborah. To their union, two children, Andrew and Ashley, were born.
Michael was a member of Hibernia Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Z. Reu and Irene Williams.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Deborah Kushner; children, Andrew Kushner and Ashley (Matthew) Hurlbert; 11-month-old granddaughter, Rebecca Hurlbert; brothers, George Kushner and Bill (Ofelia) Kushner; niece, Simone Kushner, and many friends.
On Tuesday, September 26, 2023 a visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
