Michelle Trotta Obituary

Michelle A. Trotta passed away on October 12, 2020 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on September 30, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Edward Forsythe and Phyllis Garrett.

Michelle spent her teenage years in both Fall River and Holliston MA. At 18, she met the love of her life, John Trotta and they soon were married. Later they became the parents of two sons, Ed and Chris. She spent the majority of her adult life in Florida, but her heart remained in New England with her love of the four seasons. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, baking and collecting recipes.  She also loved to collect seashells and would stop anything she was doing if she came across a Shirly Temple movie or anything about Abbott and Costello.

The daughter of a Marine, wife of a Navy Sailor and mother of a Marine, Michelle knew the sacrifices made by servicemembers and their families.  She spent the last several years often coordinating and sending care packages to troops overseas.  Michelle cherished her friendships, --maintaining some her entire life-- none more than her very best friend, Diane Icard. She loved her family passionately and adored her grandchildren. She is loved by those closest to her and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Phyllis Forsythe.

Michelle is survived by her two sons, Ed (Pascale) and Chris (Tiffany), and granddaughters, Kala, Felicia and Briana.
