Micki Cowart Maurer

Micki C. Maurer, 78, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Orange Park, FL. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Mabel Cowart, born on June 2, 1944 in Elloree, SC. 

Micki graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High School in 1962. She and her family moved to Orange Park in 1976 and she worked in real estate and served as EVP of the Clay County Board of Realtors for a number of years. Micki loved life, loved people, loved her family, loved God and southern gospel music, and enjoyed cooking. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Willie Thomas Jones, Jr. and sister, Janet Bauer. 

Micki is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry Maurer; daughter, Donna Miller and son, Don-L Maurer, both of Orange Park; grandson, Joshua Gorsuch, St. Petersburg, and granddaughters, Miranda and Brianna Maurer and Ashley Miller, all of Orange Park; and sister, Elizabeth Carpenter of Islamorada, FL.  

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at  Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
