Nora Helen Boeck

Nora Helen Boeck, 83, passed away on October 13, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on February 27, 1940 in Guelph Ontario, Canada, to the late Archibald G. Morrison and Nora “Lorrain” Wood.

Nora was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Chicago, IL and Faith Lutheran church in Mundelein, IL. She worked at the Salvation Army Headquarters in Illinois, was associated with the Salvation Army in Waukegan and in Middleburg, FL. Nora enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and teaching Sunday School to pre-school children.

She was predeceased by parents; husband, Dieter F. Boeck and nephew, Richard “Rick” Boeck.

Nora is survived by her children, Arlene E. Bryan (Jeff) and Steven D. Boeck (Dawn); grandchildren, Allison E. Bankston (Caleb), Elizabeth A. Bryan, Emily A. Bryan and Hayden A. Boeck; great-grandchildren, Torsten B. Bankston and Astrid E. Bankston; brothers, Thomas A. Morrison (Kathleen); brother-in-law, Ernest W. Boeck; nephew, Robert Boeck (Debra); nieces, Lauren Clark (Collin) and Christel Engelbrecht (Thomas); her aunt, Elizabeth A. Greensmith of Canada; numerous cousins in Canada; numerous cousins-in-law in Wisconsin and Illinois and many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army, 2795 County Road 220, Middleburg, FL 32068. The service will be Live Streamed on the Salvation Army facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/TheSalvationArmyOfClayCountyFl
