Norman Paul Roussel, Jr. passed away suddenly on March 29, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on July 10, 1984 in Jacksonville to Joyce Small and Norman Roussel, Sr. He was the second oldest of his four siblings.
Norman graduated from Nathan B. Forrest High School, class of 2003, and became a certified EMT and Volunteer Firefighter.
In 2010, Norman met his wife, KaTori, and was blessed with two children, Norman "Trip", III and Kaori. He put his family first, always, and was a strong, kind, loving and supportive father. His joy and kindness were the foundation of his family. Norman was fiercely passionate about his family from the start and dedicated his life to the pursuit of building a beautiful life.
Norman "Worm" was well known for his unwavering dedication to the people in his life as well as his commitment to help anyone in need. His loyalty, contagious laughter and kind heart guided his everyday actions. He loved to sing, dance and box. Norman won two belts in the Guns & Hoses Charity Boxing Event. His new-found love was his podcast, "You Look Like A Podcast."
Norman was preceded in death by his stepfather, Luther A. Small, Sr., who also raised him.
Norman leaves to cherish his memory, wife, KaTori Roussel; young children, Norman Roussel, III, age 5, and Kaori Roussel, age 2 months; mother, Joyce Small; father and stepmother, Norman, Sr. and Vanessa Roussel; sister, Dionne Askew (Thayrin); brothers, Luther Small, Jr., Wynton Roussel and Brandon Gilchrist (Taylor); grandparents, Mamie Howard, Hansel Torrence (Emily) and August and Gloria Roussel; parents-in-law, Dwight and Kathy Telfair; brothers-in-law, Dedrick Telfair (Deana) and Desmond Telfair (Lajoy); best friend, Robert Blanford (Britney); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1118 W Beaver Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Five Points Chapel, 702 Margaret Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. M GO BLUE, Norman loved and always cheered on his favorite team, The University of Michigan, to honor him the family asked for all guest to wear his teams colors, Blue and Gold.
