Obituary

Philip John Smith, 36, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on November 26, 1984 in Fort Walton Beach, FL, the son of Velma Smith and the late Samuel Smith.

He fell in love with fishing and enjoyed it from a very young age. Philip was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He also was a Miami Hurricanes football fan and collected sports cards of all types.

Philip was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Smith; grandparents, Cora and David Walker, Jr. and John and Pearl Hudgins.

Philip is survived by his mother, Velma Smith; beloved dog, Coco as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be  held 10.00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.

At Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home we will continue to follow all CDC and Florida Department of Health social distances guidelines:  No more than 50 family members and friends may be present in the funeral home at any time.
