Richard Edward Danziger

Richard E Danziger, 50, passed away on March 21, 2021 at his home in Jacksonville, FL, after a battle with cancer. Richard was born August 14, 1970 in Sagamihara, Japan, to Manfred Danziger, Sr. and Fern Coleson Danziger.

Richard was the son of a military family and loved to travel and visit difference places. Some of Richard’s favorite quotes were “Let’s have fun and make lots of memories” and “Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you.”

Anyone who knew Richard knows that at certain time in his life there were a lot of struggles, but Richard overcame each of his struggles. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. Richard was thankful for each and every day of freedom that he had. He never lost his innate knack for living life to the fullest through simple pleasures — laughing and playing with family and friends and his dogs.

Richard loved to go to the beach and to the casino to gamble. It did not matter whether he won or lost, he was ready to go.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fern and Manfred Danziger, Sr.

Richard is survived by his siblings, Barbara Danziger Oakley (Terry), Manfred Danziger, Jr. (Crystal) and Micheal Danziger (Crystal), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. There are a few other people who played an important role in Richard’s life that he would like to mention: Holly Garcia, Holly Gilman, Jeff Edwards, Judge Herman and Craig Hopper.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
