Richard Marvin Leissner, 77, Orange Park, FL died August 3, 2023, at his home. He was born in Racine, WI on February 15, 1946. He was the son of the late Jermone and Marjorie Leissner.
Rick proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He retired at the rank of Senior Master Chief. He was of the Methodist faith. Rick enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially family vacations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Leissner; brother, Thomas; and daughter, Dawn Gunti.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Cummings and her husband, John Moore; son-in-law, Tripp Gunti; four grandchildren, Jake Cummings, Carter Cummings, Cord Gunti and Celia Gunti; sisters and brother-in-law’s, Judy and (John) Rohleder and Harriet and (William) Schram; long term partner and friend, Cheryl Ashton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
