Richard Matthew Miller, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1969, in Peoria, IL.
He was a resident of Morton, IL from 1969 to 1982 and Orange Park, FL from 1982 until his death.
Rick attended Lakeside Middle School and Orange Park High School Class of 1987.
He was married twice, first to Amy Brewer and then to Amanda McAuley. With Amanda, he built his family to include son, Austin (21) and daughter, Ava (17). Both children were his pride and joy.
Known as Ricky early in his life and later as Rick, he enjoyed life to its fullest. Surfing, skateboarding, working on his cars (lots of loud bass and neon lights), and spending time with his kids. As a kid, he loved jumping over things with his bicycle emulating his idol, Evel Knievel. As a result, he was always in the emergency room. He also was a big fan of the television show “SWAT.” Whenever the theme song played, he would grab his toy machine gun and start running around the house. All things NASA with astronauts, Star Wars (especially Darth Vader) and Marvin the Martian were favorites. In later years, he enjoyed NASCAR with his father and UF Gator Football.
Rick was a dedicated and hard worker, having been with Little Caesars, Circuit City, The Loop, Blockbuster, and PepsiCo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Michael Miller (2019), infant sister, Maria and infant brother, Timothy.
Rick is survived by his wife, Amanda; children, Austin and Ava; his loving mother, Marilyn K. (Nelson) Miller; brothers, Jeffrey (partner, Anthony), Mark, and Christopher (partner, Rhonda); niece and nephews, Anna, Joshua, and Gavin; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
