Robert Lewis Calhoun

Robert Lewis Calhoun, on October 14, 2024, in Orange Park, FL, received his calling to come Home. He was born on February 24, 1956 in Talladega, Alabama to the late Chancer Calhoun and Katie Mae Garrett Calhoun.

Robert was baptized at St. Campbell Baptist Church. He received his education at Talladega County Schools and then served with the United States Navy.

Robert was joined in holy matrimony to Barbara Cross and together were blessed with three children. He was a loving husband and father.

Family members preceding Robert in passing are his parents,  sisters, Alfruth McMillian, Edith Calhoun and Mary Calhoun; brother, Perry Calhoun and brother-in-law, Calvin Willis.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory , loving wife and partner for almost 50 years together, Barbara Calhoun; children, Tory Calhoun (Latoya), Robert “Tad” Calhoun, II, and loving daughter, LePorcha Calhoun; grandsons, Jon Johnson, Avery Calhoun and Averett Calhoun; brothers, Chancy Calhoun and Charles Calhoun; sisters, Willie Mildred Calhoun, Cora Elston (James), Oliva Willis and Jackie Garner (Walter); aunt, Minnie Jones; brothers-in-law, Walter Cross, Benny Cross (Dana), Clifford Cross (Myra), Victor Cross and Bobby Cross and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
