Robert Iverson Kirce Jr. was born to the late Robert Iverson Kirce Sr. and the late Linda V. Poole-Kirce in Jacksonville, Florida on January 21, 1971. He graduated from Nathan B. Forrest High School in 1990. He was a superior athlete in Football and Basketball. His passion was for Basketball and you could often find him at Westconnect Park. At an early age, Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at "Word of Faith Church" currently known as "The Potter’s House International Ministries". Later in life he returned to ministry to become an ordained Minister.
Robert was a Jack of All Trades! He obtained his CDL license and began working at “Rinker Logistics” as a Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator followed by "Gustafson's Dairy", "Southwestern Logistics" and "Sunbelt Rentals". Robert also pursued business in his own trucking and landscaping companies "Prodigal Son".
His hobbies were washing and fixing cars, and he was an avid motorcycle rider. His most recent love was his super duty F250 Truck "Big Ghost".
Robert was the life of the party! He loved to dance, travel, and spend time with his family. In his spare time, he would indulge in the finest Cuban Cigars.
Robert was known to many people as Burlup, Canon, Big Rob, Ike Jr., and Rat Boy. He was loved by many. He was a manly man, charming, passionate, sincere, fearless, mentor, leader, protector, and trendsetter. He was a father to the fatherless, and always encouraged and spoke life into others. Robert had a great sense of humor and would keep you laughing in the most serious and heartfelt times but most of all....HE LOVED GOD!
Robert got married at the young age of 18 to Nita Cooper-Kirce for 30 Years. Through their union, they were blessed with four children and six grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his children, Shatera, LaQuon, Ciarra, and Selena Kirce; Grandchildren: Cequest Law Jr. (Man Man), Sha'Niya Richardson, Kirce Singleton (Baby K), Keshaun, Keaun, and Machai Kirce; Adopted children: Maurice Newell and Dorinda Wilson; Adopted Grandchildren: Zayla Scott, Maurice Jr., Maleah, Major and Majic Newell; Sister: Monica Bass (Leslie); Brothers: Steven Clark (Anniwille) and Malcolm Kirce; Aunts: Annette Harmon (Jack), Elizabeth Kirce, Kimable George, and Queenesther Johnson; Uncle: William Poole (Felicia); Nephew: Demetrius Bass; Niece: Mya Bass, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; Godchildren: Latavia Moye and Nicholas Phillips; Mother and Father In-law: Charles and Debbie Cooper; Brother and Sister In-Law: Charles and Jennifer Cooper (Trey, Chloe, Jada, and Carissa Cooper).
Robert will be mourned by the Kirce family, Poole family, Bass family, Cooper family, all members of his immediate and extended family, and a host of close friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073 (904) 264-1233 and the funeral service will be on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Potter's House International Ministries, 5119 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
