Robert Frank Michel, Sr. passed away on December 14, 2018 in Gainesville, FL. He was born on February 8, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frederick Michel and Dorothy Kelm Michel.

Robert was dedicated to his family, God and country. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert F. Michel, Jr., two brothers and a sister.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Laura Michel; children, Teechee (Gary) Buhnerkemper and Paul (Melissa) Michel; grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Dorsey, Kaley (Jon) Lindenmoyer, Goldie Buhnerkemper, Brock Buhnerkemper, Rebecca Michel, Jill Giles and Lindsey Taylor; great-grandchildren, Liam Dorsey, Ryleigh Miller and Raegan Miller; sisters, Nancy Cage and Merry (Bob) Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that have become family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Lane, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
