Robert "Bobby" J. Schmehl

Robert “Bobby” J. Schmehl, 63, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Middleburg, FL. Bobby was born in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Robert L. Schmehl and Joyce L. Worley.

Bobby has been a resident of Orange Park Fl since 1991 and graduated from Robert E. Lee high school in 1976. He proudly worked for the Jacksonville Kennel Club for 38 years where he met and made many lifelong friends. He always worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed singing karaoke, watching NASCAR and football. Bobby loved spending time with his family and friends. His family will always remember their time spent together going boating and having tons of fun on family vacations. Bobby was a loving husband, father, papa and friend. He always met everyone with a big smile and a hug. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone he knew. Truly his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Schmehl; mother, Joyce L. Worley and bonus father, Charles P. Worley.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marilyn Schmehl; daughters, Sheryl Schmehl, Karen Schmehl and Jennifer Schmehl; son, Andy Schmehl; grandchildren, Gabe Ressler, Alexis Stone, Kristen Schmehl, Skyler Schmehl and Dawson Schmehl; bonus mother, Evelyn Schmehl; brothers, Danny Schmehl, Ron Worley and Don Worley; sisters, Charlene Geiger, Robin Schmehl Hershey, Barbara O’Neil, Wanda Holliday and Diane Akins.

A memorial will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of the High-Speed Pass at Cecil Field, 6112 POW-MIA Memorial Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32221.
