Samuel Broadnax, Jr. passed away on January 1, 2024, in Orange Park, FL. He was born on June 10, 1953, in Reidsville, NC, to the late Samuel Broadnax, Sr. and Carrie Mae Ford.
Samuel graduated from high school, loved his autonomy, and leaving sweet treats at the front door for everyone to enjoy.
Family members preceding Samuel in death are his parents; sisters, Beverly Hall and Laverne Ford; and brother, Victor Hall.
Samuel is survived by his aunt, Lillie Will (Ford) Jackson; nephew and caregiver, Charles E. Jones; sisters, Della Dyous, Wille Mae Hall, Deborah Hall Grier, Lisa Hall and Linda Hall; brothers, Leonard Hall, and David Lee Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service followed by interment will held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 11:00 at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
