Tharius Lavarskey Collier was born on December 19, 1974, in
Moultrie, Georgia, to Shirley Ann West and Larry Smith.
Tharius recieved his High School Diploma from Forest High School
in Jacksonville, Florida. He was baptized at the Holy Temple Church
of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, where he began his
lifelong walk of faith. His relationship with God shaped the way he
lived with compassion, integrity, and love for others.
On January 9, 2016, Tharius married his best friend and life partner,
Faith Livingston-Collier. Their marriage was filled with love,
laughter, and a deep sense of partnership and respect.
A hardworking and determined individual, Tharius excelled as a top
salesman at Davis Nissan and also found success in real estate. He
was known for his dedication, people skills, and professionalism.
Outside of work, he was deeply involved in his community,
volunteering with his neighborhood watch and always willing to
lend a helping hand.
Known affectionately as a “gentle giant,” Tharius had a big heart and
an even bigger presence. He was outgoing, kind, and never met a
stranger. His ability to make people feel welcomed and valued was
one of his greatest gifts. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, cars, and
spending time with family and friends. Tharius was a huge Georgia
Bulldog fan.
On October 7, 2025 Tharius was called home to be with the Lord,
with his beloved wife, Faith, by his side.
Tharius was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert L. Collier
Sr., Jessie L. Collier; his sister, Candika N. Reed (Tyshon Sr.), and his
cousin Zachary C. Temple who he shared a deep, brotherly bond
with.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Faith L. Livingston-Collier; his
children, Amani A. Folk (Colin) and Marcus Collier; grandchildren,
Acely and Aceyn Collier; his parents, Shirley Ann West and Larry
Smith; brother, Nicholas C. West Sr.; his aunts, Essie M. Williford
(Rudolph-deceased), Laverne Smith (Robert), Lesia Collier, and
Emma R. Shelton (Tim); his uncles, Robert L. Collier Jr. (Ann) and
Jasper Collier. Tharius will be profoundly missed by his cherished
in-laws, the Livingston family. He leaves behind a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory in their
hearts forever.
Tharius's legacy is one of love, joy, and unwavering faith. Though he
will be missed beyond measure, his memory will live on in the
hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rest well, dear Tharius. Your spirit is free, and you are safely home in
God’s eternal care.
