Mrs. Veronica Mayonte Arguilla passed on March 29, 2026.
Veronica Arguilla, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful Christian, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life centered on hard work, family, and generosity, leaving behind a legacy that will continue through generations.
Veronica was a lifelong entrepreneur who took pride in running various businesses throughout her life. Her determination and independence defined her work ethic, and she approached every endeavor with resilience and care. Though she pursued some college education, her greatest accomplishments were the life she built and the family she nurtured.
She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures—shopping, jewelry, caring for plants, traveling, and especially cooking for her family. Her home was often filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of meals made with love.
Veronica is survived by her children: Linda and Eriberto Gonzales; Francisco Arguilla Jr. and Gloria Arguilla; Carol and Antonio DelaCruz; Lorna and Fermin Bautista; George and Marion Arguilla; Lisa Arguilla; Freddie and Jennifer Arguilla; and Jeanette and Raymond Bautista.
She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Erebel Gonzales; Victor Elijah Solis; Jeffrey and Judy Davis and their children Benn and Andrew Davis; Francis Michael Arguilla; Francisco Arguilla III; Princess May Santiago; Carol Ann and Robert Waterman and their children Fletcher and Gwendolyn Waterman; Diandra and Jerrold McCann and their children Sydney and Julia McCann; Alyssa and Jaymz Johnson and their son Elias Johnson; Cheryl Lynn Bautista and Robert McCoy; Christopher and Shayla Bautista and their children Caleb and Caiden Bautista; George Arguilla Jr.; Marjorie Arguilla; Jerico Arguilla and Trinh Vu and their son Arthur Arguillavu; Joshua Comfort; Jessica Comfort and her son Deryk Collett; Andrew Arguilla; Lauren Arguilla; Bianca and Val Avanesov and their children Alexander, Nicholas, and Victoria Avanesov; Angela and Marco Guerrero Jr. and their children Marco III and Camilo Guerrero; Kyle and Ciara Roberto; and Vanessa, Alejandro, and Angelo Bautista.
Veronica’s life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and unconditional love for her family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 17, 2026, 12:00 Noon, will be a Celebration of Life, both services will be at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
