Vivian Verona Davis was born February 19, 1938, in Port au Prince Haiti to the late John Edward and Alice Edward Clark Johns. She was one of six children.
After her husband’s death, Vivian moved to Florida to be closer to her sister and start anew. She worked for Clay County School Board for 10 years before retiring. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church Orange Park until she became ill in 2016. She enjoyed going to yard sales, thrift stores, gardening and spending time with her family.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Davis; several siblings in including: Mildred Hjardemaal, Hazel Diedrich (Don), Amy Lambert (Serge), Anita Mosely (James) Geraldine Johnson, brothers David Johns, William Bichotte, Willie (Rebecca), James (Margaret), Alfonso (Alfretta) and Jack (Frances) Davis.
Vivian is survived by two sons, Johnny (Cheryl) Davis, Alex (Melody) Davis, two daughters Teresa Cobb and Michelle Davis; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, as well as one surviving brother CW (Cynthia) Davis and sister Fay Bausley and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025. Both services will be held at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
