Wilfrid ‘Fredo’ Lucien passed away on December 30, 2020 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on January 5, 1957 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to the late Cloraine Lucien.
He attended primary school at Frere Poly Cap and completed his secondary education at George Marc. After 2 years at university he completed his engineering degree and came to the United States in 1980. Upon arrival, he accomplished 3 years at RCC in Spring Valley, New York and an associated degree in computer science at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Years later, he moved to Jacksonville, FL and achieved his bachelor’s degree in computer science at FSCJ.
In 1986, Wilfrid came back to Haiti and married his high school sweetheart, Simonne. Throughout the matrimony they created 3 beautiful kids, Warren, Sara and Rachelle. After 22 years in NYC, Wilfrid and his family moved to North Carolina then to Jacksonville where he eventually settled until his passing. He remained a faithful servant of Jehovah.
Wilfrid enjoyed fixing computers, preaching and soccer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cloraine Lucien.
Wilfrid is survived by his wife, Simonne Lucien; children, Warren Lucien, Sara Lucien and Rachelle Lucien; sister, Jacqueline Ridore; sisters-in-law, Amelie Jacqueline Lysius-Francois and Nicole Lysius; brother-in-law, Lyonel Francois; nephews, Nicolas Lysius and Benley Lysius; nieces, Lunie Ridore, Ruthie Ridore, Michelle Lysius, Kemberly Lysius, Diane Lysius, Myriam Lysius, Prescilla Meristal and Esther Francois; friends, Woody Jean-Jacques and Sovota Muler.
A service twill be held at 11:00 a.m. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida 32073.
