William Dealing, III

William “Billy” Dealing, 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, to William and Patsy Dealing, Billy was a man defined by a lifelong dedication to the music he loved and the people who made it.

A 1977 graduate of Sandalwood High School and an alumnus of Christ the King Catholic School, Billy spent his life fulfilling a dream in selfless support of the music industry. He was a versatile, “roll-up-your-sleeves” kind of man—the reliable hand behind the scenes who could solve any problem and meet any challenge five minutes before showtime. He didn't chase the spotlight; instead, he dedicated his career to building the stage for the front-line performers who relied on his technical skill and tireless work ethic to make every show a success.

Billy’s character was rooted in the deep Florida soil of his ancestors. He took immense pride in his family’s pioneer history stretching from the Suwannee to St. Augustine. This heritage manifested in his love for the outdoors, his passion for travel, and a rugged independence that he carried through every career path he chose.

Above all, Billy’s life reflected his Christian principles and a heart full of service. His proudest accomplishment wasn't found in a resume, but in his charity towards others and his unwavering devotion to his brothers—a circle he expanded to include almost everyone he met. To Billy, if you were a friend, you were family. He was the "music seed" of the Dealing family, planting a love for rhythm and performance that will continue to grow in the hearts of those he left behind.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bobby) Michael Dealing.

Billy is survived by his parents, William and Patsy Dealing of Keystone Heights; his brothers, Wayne Dealing (Rhonda) and James Dealing; his sister, Catherine Dealing-Frey; his nephews, Jay, Connor, and Will; nieces, Amanda and Caroline; and great-nephew, Van.

Billy’s friends and extended family will gather for a Celebration of Life to remember Billy and the impact he had on our lives. The event will be held at the Southern Grill, Jax, FL, Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 3pm to 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity supporting the music community in Billy’s honor.
