William Elliott Yancey, 55, passed away on June 23, 2026 in Orange Park, FL. He was born on February 15, 1971 in Jacksonville, FL to Patsy Okarita Yancey and the late Elliott Morgan Yancey.
Bill received his GED and enjoyed music, drums, guitars, bicycles, cars and spending time with family and friends.
Bill was very kindhearted, loved his wife and family and ‘served’ as the family comedian. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums with friends. Bill grew up with lifelong friends from school and church who loved him and will miss him dearly. Bill will be deeply missed and his loved ones look forward to seeing him again when we all get to heaven.
Bill is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, John James Sowell and Jon Sue Sowell; and Elliott (Butch) Morgan Yancey, Sr. and Iva Lucreta Yancey.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Denise Yancey; daughters, Riley Namyslowski and Jillian Wright, stepsons, Forrest Stevenson and Alexander Stevenson; grandchildren, Sophia Wright, Saige Wright, Sailor Wright and Rose Mary Jane Stevenson; sister, Janice Okarita Yancey and a host of other relatives and friends.
