William “Bill” Russell Breese

William “Bill” Breese passed away on March 17, 2022 at the age of 74, in Orange Park, FL. Bill was born and spent his childhood in Port Edwards, WI. He attended University of Stevens Point, where he received his bachelor’s degree in History. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his county for four years and completing a tour in Vietnam. He received his master’s degree in Education at University of Mississippi at Hattiesburg in 1974.  

Bill met the love of his life, Margo, at Lakeland University in Plymouth, WI in 1967, marrying in 1970. Bill and Margo moved to Florida in 1975 for new careers in education. Bill’s second love, his daughter Kate, was born in 1985. Husband and Dad were his most important titles and he continuously let them know.  After retirement, he found outlets that carried on his passion for kids in education, neighborhood and community.

Bill’s friends and family would describe him as fiercely loyal, funny, gentle, thoughtful, proud and smart. Even though his heart took him away from this earthly world, it was in fact his gigantic loving heart that was the beacon of light for all family and his community.

His passing was proceeded by his grandparents, parents, and Margo’s parents, sister and brother-in-law, special neighbors and friends.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Margo; cherished daughters, Kate and Brittany; sister, Barb and nieces, Mary (Bill) and Betsy (Rich).

A visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
