Yolanda Cuevas Escanio

Yolanda Cuevas Escanio, 72, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her home in Fleming Island, FL after a short illness. She was born in New York City on April 15, 1947 to Iris Berrios Cuevas and the late Moises Martinez Cuevas.

Yolanda and her husband, Reinaldo were blessed to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on August 17, 2019. She is survived by her beloved husband, her daughter, Rebecca Marie Escanio, her son, Rey Michael Escanio; her grandchildren, Rey Matthew Escanio, Arianna Bella Escanio, and Michael Xavier Escanio; brothers, Moises Cuevas, Jr., Ricardo Cuevas, and Manny Cuevas; and sister, Maritza Cuevas.

Yolanda led an exemplary life as a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Intelligent, loyal and talented in her most prized passion - embroidery, she brought joy to all who knew her. She is now reunited in heaven with family members that have gone before her, but she will be forever missed here on Earth.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. following a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. both at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233. The interment will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
