Yvette Woods

Yvette Woods passed away on July 26, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on March 14, 1968 in Margaretta, FL, to the late Emma Jean Givens.

Yvette graduated from Baker County High School in 1986 and received an Associate of Science Degree in Medical Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management at Jones College. She was a member of National Honors Society and Magna Cum Laude. She worked as an educator for over 20 years. Yvette loved educating young children and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Kelvin Givens, Sr. and grandmother, Lessie Givens-Dallas.

Yvette is survived by her husband, Dwayne G. Woods, Sr.; children, Dwayne G. Woods, Jr., and Ashley Woods; grandchild, Randy A. McKinnon II; brothers, Maurice Givens, Gerald (Linda) Cason, Myron Cason, Sr., Dwayne (Irish) Cason, Juan Cason, and Laris Paige; sisters, Jennifer Berry, Alfreda Cason, Stacey Givens, Deedra (Rodney) Givens, Katina (Greg) Givens and Monica Springs; aunts, Ada Mae Davis and Loretta Givens; uncles, Nathaniel Givens and Russell Givens; sisters-in-law, Chasity Givens, Loretta (Albert) Abernathy, Gladys Jackson and Tonya Clark; brothers-in-law, Nathaniel (Verdell) Woods, Darren (Cindy) Woods and Jeffrey (Shantena) Woods; a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from  12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Both Services will be held at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park Florida 32073, (904) 264-1233.
