There are brothers and than there are BROTHERS. FREDDY as we called him was the best of the best. From a family of 6 kids he was the one who brought out the best in each of us. He was my rock and always there for me. All the girls loved him and he was so handsome. And a great dancer ( Philly style). When Fred went into the Navy I was heart broken. He told me to stay positive and he'd be back.. Fred will always be with me in my heart...RIP BROTHER We'll see each other again!
Master Chief Boike was the leader of the pack in the Air Traffic Control Community for many years. He commanded the respect of the enlisted and commissioned members of the community. Ron was my next door neighbor when we were instructors in the Air Traffic Control Schools in Brunswick. Became friends then and continued until his death. My heart goes out to family and I know so many shipmates will morn his passing as will I. Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate, Well Done.

May 13, 2017, our mother passed away after a 9 year battle with cancer. My brother and I both relied heavily upon the professionalism and expertise of Mr. Burney Bivens and his family at Aaron and Burney Bivens funeral home. I cannot tell you enough how grateful we were to have built a relationship with this gracious establishment.
They handled all of our questions, provided clear resolve for things things that arose, and were very financially feasible for our planning. I have recommended to all I know and will continue to maintain a relationship with the entire family as a whole.
We truly appreciate and Love this establishment and employees involved.
The most painful task I have ever had to do was arrange for my wife’s funeral. My family and I found Aaron Bivens, Burney Bivens and their staff to be very caring in providing thoughtful guidance and support throughout the entire process. They diligently took care of every detail. I heard many complements from those in attendance of the service on how well it was handled. I would recommend Aaron & Burney Bivens Funeral Home to anyone who should ask..
Oct. 3, 2016 was the worse day of my life, I received a phone call with the tragic news that my only child, a senior at FSU in Tallahassee, who was active in many organizations and lived life to the fullest, had died of a brain aneurysm. Her father contacted Aaron and Burney Bivens to begin the process of laying her to rest. We met with them and were treated with the utmost respect, kindness, and sensitivity. We are a split family and Aaron handled all the questions and requests we made with such professionalism and sensitivity that it made it easy on us. I can't say enough about this funeral home, their staff, and Aaron and Burney Bivens. When you walk into the front door it is beautiful just like the people there, you feel welcomed, like you are stepping into someone's home not a funeral home. I often told Aaron he and his business was 5 star, they truly are. Thank you Aaron for your respect, your kindness, your understanding, and your sensitivity. Thank you to Burney and the staff for your kindness and sensitivity and all your hard work. I am so grateful for the beautiful, dignified service you gave our daughter. With much appreciation - Betsy Beal Cummins
My first day as a health teacher at Forrest High school in 1980, Jim was shot in the parking lot by a trespasser. From that day Jim became my mentor, co-teaching health classes for 2 years. I saw first hand how a master teacher treated all student behaviors and made his students love to be in his class. For the next 30 years as a colleague Jim continued to teach me how to love teaching and coaching.
Thank you for all of your efforts with my mother’s service. I believe you went well beyond the typical expectation for such an event. I was impressed by everyone at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, and the way that you made every accommodation to make my family comfortable during such a difficult time. You are a credit to your profession and I would recommend your organization to anyone who should have a need for your service.
I know this card is a bit late, but I wanted to let you know how much I greatly appreciated what you did to help my family and I during our loss. You and your firm are the best not only for your service, but your kind words and friendship. The move to PA went very smoothly and I know my brother Tony is now in a better place with no pain or illness.
We love you all,
On behalf of my mother, brothers, and our families, thank you so much for your words of encouragement and for helping to make my dad's "going home celebration" what he would have wanted.
I personally appreciate all of your assistance and guidance. May God bless each of you abundantly.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
